Sunrise Rotary Major Projects

As a Howard County Civic organization, the Sunrise Rotary Club actively supports several projects.  Support is provided through fundraising efforts, in-kind donations, members' volunteer activities, and Club contributions.  While some Clubs provide limited support to many organizations, the Sunrise Rotary concentrates its resources on three projects while maintaining additional funds to support projects throughout the year on an ad hoc basis.  See the dropdown Projects Menu for a complete listing of Sunrise Rotary projects.

Summer Enrichment Program

Since 2001, the Sunrise Rotary has been a partner with Howard County's Community Action Council in sponsoring a unique early childhood education summer program for Head Start eligible children who are matriculating from Head Start to their mainstream K-12 education. 

ARL Educational Partnership

The Sunrise Rotary has and educational partnership with the Howard County Public Schools Application and Research Laboratory.  Through this partnership, the Sunrise Rotary has brokered the placement of as many as 30 interns with a prominent local continuing care organization.

 

 

 

Willging Foundation

​

Paul Willging was a long time Sunrise Rotary member and prominent lecturer at the Howard County Community College in the field of gerontology.  In Paul's memory, the Sunrise Rotary has established the Willging Foundation.
