Rotary Boat Float - A fun-raising program, The seven Howard County Rotary clubs have hosted a cardboard boat event each June at the Columbia lakefront. Starting in 2003, more than 1,000 visitors watch as cardboard boats, built by individuals, families and organizations, race around Lake Kittamaqundi. It is a self-funding program that was started as a fun program and a way to introduce Rotary to the community.
